Jennifer Seavor
Senior Associate Solicitor
Jennifer Seavor is the Head of the Royds With King Bath and Swindon Industrial Diseases Teams. She is a Senior Associate in our Personal Injury team who exclusively represents sufferers of asbestos-related diseases, including mesothelioma, asbestos related lung cancer, asbestosis and pleural thickening.
As a Senior Litigator she has recovered millions of pounds in compensation for her clients over the years. She prides herself on successfully concluded cases that other firms of asbestos solicitors. This includes dealing with claims for expats and former armed forces personnel and securing provisional and periodic payment orders for her clients as well as immunotherapy funding.
Jennifer is recommended by The Legal 500 UK for “asbestos-related claims” and was ranked as a ‘Rising Star’ in 2019. She is also a Senior Litigator with The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and an accredited occupational and asbestos disease specialist.
Jennifer is based in Swindon and has had numerous local clients who were exposed to asbestos in local factories and the Swindon Railway works. She set up and runs the local Swindon and Wiltshire Asbestos Support Group and advises and supports victims of mesothelioma and their families at a number of other regional asbestos support groups.
Jennifer volunteers as a Trustee on the Board for local charity Prospect Hospice and supports a number of charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Mesothelioma UK, Hampshire Asbestos Support Awareness Group and Cancer Research UK.
Jennifer has written articles for the Mesothelioma UK ‘Mesothelioma Matters’ magazine and has given interviews on regional BBC radio about asbestos issues. She also regularly attends the National Lung Cancer Nurses Forum and British Thoracic Oncology Group annual conferences. She has made presentations at the Mesothelioma UK annual national Patient & Carer Day in 2019 on the law in relation to medicinal cannabis and CBD oil usage.
