Managing your claim
We have a small team led by Warren Miller to guide you through the initial stages of the claims process. Their role is to answer any questions you may have and to assess whether you can claim compensation for an asbestos illness. Warren joined us 8 years ago after running a successful claims management company for 10 years. He said:
" Our team will always take the time to explain the legal process in simple terms. It is our aim to minimise any stress and ensure that there is no financial risk to clients making an asbestos disease claim. I have worked with Helen Childs for more than 15 years and am always confident that the claims that we pass on to Helen and her team will be handled with kindness and compassion. "
Many firms of solicitors cherry-pick easier cases, but Helen always goes the extra mile and will always take on complex cases refused by other firms.
This is an important consideration, because many claims are a result of asbestos exposure decades ago, with the inherent complexity of tracing employers and insurers from back in the day.
All of our cases are dealt with on a no win - no fee basis. For mesothelioma and asbestos cancer claims our service is totally free from start to finish and the claimant keeps 100% of the compensation.
For asbestosis and pleural thickening cases there is no money upfront either, but we take a small percentage of the compensation awarded. We keep this to a minimum as every case in different, but it is capped at 25%.
